The humanitarian-development-peace (HDP) ‘triple nexus’ discussion has brought a noticeable cultural shift in the humanitarian sector.

Through recent work on the HDP nexus, the long-existing concepts of Linking Relief Recovery and Development (LRRD) and resilience have increasingly moved out of niche circles and into more mainstream, system-wide initiatives.

The nexus is now a planned core theme for Grand Bargain 3.0. This responds to people's wish for aid and assistance that helps them become more self-sufficient and resilient.

Here we explore how the HDP nexus agenda is progressing.
