Bridging the mobile disability gap in refugee settings

An estimated one billion people globally have some form of disability, 80 per cent of whom live in emerging markets1 . In these markets the barriers faced by those with disabilities often translate into lower levels of education, employment and inclusion in society2. By providing access to communication and information, mobile phones and related services can facilitate more inclusive participation in society for persons with disabilities and help to tackle these barriers3.
