Our Asia Earthquake and Flood Appeal raised an unprecedented £26m, including £3.5m from the British government. An additional £372m was raised by the Disasters Emergency Committee Appeal – of which £59.3m* was received by the British Red Cross. We gave cash grants to the Federation and the International Committee of the Red Cross, which have helped all the affected areas. However, our longterm recovery programme is focusing on the worst affected countries of Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Maldives.
