From a production perspective, one of the most interesting communication projects carried out in Haiti in 2010 was a soap opera produced by the United Nations Stabilisation Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH). The drama series, entitled ‘Under The Sky’, was designed to reflect life in camps while weaving in messaging around issues such as registration, gender-based violence, child vulnerability, post-earthquake traumatic distress and hygiene. This paper describes the implementation process and the results achieved.
