Women and girls affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in crisis and displacement contexts may face increased risk of gender-based violence (GBV) as well as increased financial barriers to accessing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care and services. Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) can address certain financial barriers to access SRH and GBV services or purchase necessary items even during movement restrictions if it is well integrated into SRH and GBV programming, if remote community consultations and risk analyses are carried out, and if mechanisms to prevent infection are put in place during the delivery process. CVA can also provide an opportunity to share messages on GBV referral pathways and COVID-19 infection prevention information.
