Code of Good Practice in the Management and Support of Aid Personnel

Although originally driven by agencies in the United Kingdom and Ireland, the People in Aid Code also received input from UN agencies, agencies in the United States and continental Europe, and a large number of individuals. This revised edition reflects the changes in internal priorities and external influences that agencies now face. It sets out seven guiding principles on human resources strategy; staff policies and practices; managing people; consultation and communication; recruitment and selection; learning, training, and development; and health, safety and security.
