This Evaluation Report reflects the analysis and findings from two parallel evaluations carried out in Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) from May to December 2012, as well as from two desk studies (normative products and review of relevant evaluations). The Report presents findings from both of these regions in a synthesised way focusing on the broader tendencies and patterns of FAO’s role in DRR. Consequently, the findings from specific projects or other interventions, such as policy or technical support, will only be referred to as a case in point related to the broader issues that have come out in the regional reports. Accordingly, the two regional reports (support documents for the Evaluation Report) present more details of FAO support within the countries and are therefore a reference for more specific information.
