Georgia faces a range of natural hazards, and 70% of its territory and most of its infrastructure of international importance is located in high risk zones. To add to the risks created by the natural topography, there is also a low awareness and poor linkages, as well as lack of capacity in DRM nationally. ACF aimed to strengthen the linkages between different institutions involved in DRM at national, regional and municipal levels; to build capacity for local authorities (LA) and local NGOs (LNGOs) to implement DRM activities; and, most importantly, at the community level, ACF aimed to build local capacity and implement mitigation and livelihoods projects.

The main purpose of this final project evaluation is to examine whether the project reached its objectives, identify the gaps remaining, draw lessons learned, and suggest recommendations for better implementation in the future.
