The author, Ansa Masaud is currently leading post crisis recovery portfolio of Norwegian Red Cross. Previously she has worked with United Nations and NGOs in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kenya, Geneva, Syria and Gaza from 2005-2015. Recently she was based in Syria heading programmes for UN-Habitat as response to the crisis. In 2014, she joined UNRWA following the war to lead the emergency shelter unit of UNRWA to provide emergency assistance to the displaced. She is the author of the book under development titled '' Guns in medicines out''.
