The GeOnG conference is back with a new exciting programme for its 5th edition. Known as one of the biggest independent conference on mapping and information management for the humanitarian sector in Europe, the forum addresses the use of new technologies (GIS, GPS, mobiles solutions, remote sensing, drones...) and associated methodologies in today and tomorrow’s humanitarian interventions. The three-day event will have various formats. A mix of panel discussions on several key topics concerning technologic evolutions (big data, citizen science, crowdsourcing, UAVs, new assessment tools, etc.), hands-on workshops on key technological tools (PowerBI, KoBo Analyzer, D3.js, QGIS, OSM exports, R, etc.), as well as “speed geeking” (speed dating of projects) and lightning talks.
