Report of Baseline Analysis against the Core Humanitarian Standard
This is the report of the GOAL Baseline Analysis against the Core Humanitarian Standard. It was conducted by the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership on GOAL in 2014. The baseline analysis aimed to provide a picture of how GOAL is currently performing in relation to this Standard and to identify areas for improvement. A total of 29 staff were interviewed during the process, including GOAL’s Chief Executive Officer and one Board member in Dun Laoghaire, 27 staff in Ethiopia (including the Country Director), two partner organisations in Awassa and Addis Ababa, five Woreda (local authority) representatives (one woman , four men) and 71 community members (42 women, 29 men). Some interviews were with individuals, others were Focus Group Discussions (with community members, as well as staff members and the local authorities).
