These guidelines for preparing the IASC SWG on Preparedness Early Warning Report and Early Action Recommendations are based on meetings in Rome 7-8 June 2012, previous inter-agency discussions, recommendations in the 2011 external report review, and communications from the SWG co-chairs.
The Early Warning Report provides members of the IASC SWG on Preparedness with shared analysis of potential humanitarian emergencies at the global level to support decisions on recommendations for early actions to enhance preparedness. The Early Action Recommendations are derived from the Early Warning Report, and aimed at those who direct readiness action as well as those who can support action with resources.
