CARE International in Yemen

The profiling study was undertaken with the key objective of building a profile of the Syrian refugees in Yemen, focusing on their locations, status, humanitarian condition, and other information. The ultimate goal was to help the humanitarian community in Yemen to determine needs of the population profiled and the type of humanitarian assistance appropriate for their situation. For this exercise, CARE entered into a joint collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), UNOCHA, and UNHCR, who funded the study. Household surveys were conducted across the three cities (Aden, Taiz and Sana’a) in February 2015, in order to assess the livelihood situation, as well as protection and assistance needs of the households.
