Improving Humanitarian Response - Lessons from Operational Peer Reviews (webinar)

One-hour webinar on 'Improving Humanitarian Response: Lessons from Operational Peer Reviews'. Operational Peer Reviews were introduced as part of the Transformative Agenda, to be able to examine if the humanitarian systems used for the response are optimised to produce the best results for affected people. They give peer to peer rapid real-time support and ‘course correctors’ to the Humanitarian Coordinator (HC) and the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT).

The webinar presenters will share lessons learned from 2014 Operational Peer Review and STAIT missions to the Philippines, Central African Republic, South Sudan and Sudan in the areas of Leadership, Coordination, and Accountability, and offer their reflections on practical steps taken at field and global level to strengthen the collective humanitarian response. The presenters expect that this learning will be of help to other field operations.

This webinar is for anyone who is interested in how we can make the humanitarian system work better for people affected by disasters and humanitarian emergencies.
