This interim report provides an overview of the current state and accomplishments to date of the Gender Capacity Standby (GenCap) M&E project. GenCap has been setup with the goal to improve gender equality programming through the deployment of highly qualified, short-term gender advisers to humanitarian responses. The main objectives of the M&E project are to monitor progress in project implementation; to serve as an organizational development and management tool; and to enhance GenCap’s accountability vis-à-vis beneficiaries and donors.
