International Disaster Response Law (IDRL) in Grenada: A Desk Review on Legal Preparedness for International Disaster Response

The study analyses Grenada’s current legal, institutional and policy frameworks for addressing the regulatory issues related to receiving international humanitarian assistance in case of mid to large-scale disaster. Using as a benchmarking tool the IDRL Guidelines developed by the IFRC, the study applied an inclusive methodology combining desk research with key stakeholders interviews and consultations. Based on the findings, the study proposes recommendations on how to strengthen legal and institutional preparedness for receiving international humanitarian assistance in the country.
