The earthquake and subsequent tsunami that struck North Sumatra on 26 December 2004 affected all aspects of life in Aceh Province. The Community Outreach Program was developed to support and implement outreach and advocacy initiatives and to encourage two-way dialogue between individuals affected by the tsunami, communities, Red Cross Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement Partners, NGO’s, and government entities. This paper describes the implementation of the programme.
