A real-time evaluation carried out by Oxfam International in the food crisis reponse for Niger. Six benchmarks were used to assess the itmeliness, appropriateness and effectiveness of the response. Overall the response was timely and the affililiates showed a good deal of flexiblity in responding to the changing context. Information sharing with the affected communities needs to be improved.
