This final evaluation was carried out in Sierra Leone between 06/04/2016- 25/05/2016. The evaluation focuses on the entire project funded by Irish Aid, which the aim to contain the negative socio-economic impact of the Ebola outbreak on the food and nutrition security status of vulnerable households in Moyamba District. The proposed intervention aims first to give these households the means to access sufficient food during the lean season through unconditional cash transfer. The project was within the sectors WASH and Food Security. Some recommendations include:

  1. Review procurement process and its monitoring for FSL projects [high priority]
  2. Prepare a phase II project to strengthen results’ sustainability [high priority]
  3. Review the complaint mechanism to improve the information flow between Action Against Hunger and communities [medium priority]
  4. Review the M&E plan for future FSL projects [low priority]
