Perspectives on the Nutrition Response in the Syria Crisis

In November 2014, the ENN produced a special edition of its publication, Field Exchange on programming experiences and learning from the nutrition response to the Syria crisis. It features over fifty articles from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, southern Turkey, Iraq and regional offices generated through more than 100 phone interviews with key actors and a visit to the region in early 2014. This piece summarises ENN’s views on the nutrition response to the Syria crisis.

This paper was used as a source for synthesised recommendations used in the Briefing Papers for the Global Forum on Improving Humanitarian Action, taking place in New York on 4/5 June 2015.

The Briefing Papers are intended to provide a general background to the key obstacles that inhibit good, effective humanitarian action, and the recommendations that have been put forward around the WHS process to address these obstacles.
