This report considers the challenge of securing education for Syrian refugees, with a particular focus on the situation in Jordan. It provides an overview of the education system in Syria and Jordan before the crisis and examines measures taken to provide education for Syrian refugees. It further investigates barriers preventing Syrian students from returning to school and explores Syrians’ perceptions of opportunities for continued education. It is a desk study based on secondary data sources. The aim is to present a systematic assessment and identify challenges and opportunities for improving Syrian refugees’ access to education in Jordan.
