Transitional Justice and Policing in Opposition-Controlled Syria Pt. I
This report is this first of a three-part series focusing on the current status and lessons learned relating to transitional justice and policing initiatives in opposition-controlled Syria. Information in this paper is primarily drawn from interviews conducted between January 2013 and March 2014. It focuses in particular on cases from the Aleppo, Idlib and Dara’a governorates and alludes to some of the differences between these situations.
