This briefing paper summarizes the findings from a review of scholarly and grey literature, as well as interviews, on the topic of sexual assault against aid workers. The overall study goal is to contribute knowledge to the prevention of and response to sexual assault against aid workers. Specific objectives towards that goal include exploring how managers and leaders of aid organizations understand sexual assault of workers, documenting the circumstances surrounding sexual assault, understanding the experiences of victim/survivors, and analyzing the institutional systems in place to prevent and respond to such incidences.
