The purpose of the evaluation is to obtain an independent assessment of the post graduate situation of the YEP youth, in order to learn more about both special challenges and successful aspects of their starting income generation. The YEP project in Liberia was designed in 2005 based on experiences gained by NRC in implementing a similar project in neighbouring Sierra Leone. There are currently YEP programmes in ten countries. The objective of YEP has been quite consistent since 2005.
