Good Humanitarian Donorship has made progress in a number of areas such as pooled financing mechanisms and endorsement by the OECD/DAC. An area of weakness that a number of GHD donors have focused on over the past year is how to ensure that their allocations are based on humanitarian need, in line with their GHD commitments (specifically Principle 6). This builds on a number of strands of work that have been ongoing for some time, including strengthening the CAP and the process of needs assessment.
