Swaziland faces a crisis arising from the combined effects of HIV/AIDS, poverty and recurrent drought. The country has the highest HIV prevelance rate in the world with 39.2 pecent of pregnant women attending antenatal clinics and 26 percent of the workforce age group (15 to 49 years) infected with HIV. This paper provides the information how the World Food Programme can support the people in Swaziland and reduce the number of orphaned and vulnerable children.
