This lecture review the interdisciplinary work of the LSE’s Urban Age programme, focusing on the interactions between space and society in some of the world’s most rapidly changing cities.
The talk examines the environmental, social and governance dimensions of cities like Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Hong Kong, London, New York and Mumbai, drawing on the findings of the annual Urban Age conferences and associated research initiatives held by LSE Cities since 2004.
