UNHCR’s Policy Development and Evaluation Service [PDES] commissioned this review in order to assess UNHCR’s involvement with Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities, examine UNHCR’s engagement with and adoption of best practices and guidelines, and understand UNHCR’s current and potential position in the field of MHPSS activities. This review presents findings based on policy analysis, results from a survey of UNHCR staff, and interviews with UNHCR staff, MHPSS staff from other international organisations and non- governmental organisations, and academics in the field of MHPSS research.
