Date: Monday 23 May 2016 Time: 13.00 - 14.30 Location: Rumeli Hall, 4 Lüfti Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Center building

Making Evidence Count is a side event focused on the critical importance of humanitarian evidence.

The discussion will showcase practical, positive examples of how evidence can improve the effectiveness and impact of the humanitarian system by changing methods and behaviour. We will also examine new initiatives to address barriers to the uptake of evidence, and will seek to identify practical ways the humanitarian system can engage in better evidence practices. The side event supports a renewed commitment to evidence-informed humanitarian action, which puts crisis-affected populations at the core of response.
