This real-time review examines the humanitarian engagement of the Lebanese diaspora following the escalation of conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in September 2024. Based on an online mapping of more than 140 initiatives and interviews with diaspora organisations and Lebanese civil society actors, the report analyses how diaspora networks mobilised emergency assistance, partnered with local organisations and adapted their engagement towards recovery. It identifies promising models of collaboration while highlighting challenges related to coordination, fragmentation and capacity development, and offers recommendations for strengthening diaspora engagement in future humanitarian responses.
