Screenshot 2026-01-23 at 20.28.41

This report examines how the United Kingdom has sought to operationalise the humanitarian–development–peace (HDP) nexus, drawing on policy analysis and institutional learning to identify lessons of wider relevance for donors. It situates the UK’s approach within the renewed global focus on the triple nexus following the OECD DAC recommendation adopted in 2019, and explores how global commitments have been translated into practice.
