As the humanitarian sector faces growing strain, linking it with existing mutual aid efforts is gaining attention as a pathway toward a more grounded and responsive system.
ALNAP, in partnership with Local2Global, reviewed 200+ pieces of evidence from 25 countries to examine what happens when the international humanitarian system supports mutual aid. The research looked at two dimensions:
- Dimension 1 examines the results experienced by mutual aid groups.
- Dimension 2 examines the results and adaptations experienced by those providing support.
