Ground Truth Solutions and Salma Consulting spoke to more than 2000 people across the county – half of whom were women – and conducted qualitative case studies focused on specific hazard: the drought in Faryab, the flood in Baghlan, and the earthquake in Herat. By listening to those on the front lines of hazards, this research sheds light on the lived experience of both Afghan women and men and highlights their need to feel more prepared for crises ahead.
