This report presents findings from Mercy Corps’ mixed-methods study of the Ben ni Baara (“Work and Peace”) program. It finds that bundled climate and non-climate programming—such as combining resource management with peace committees or savings groups—was associated with reduced support for violence, greater perceived cooperation across livelihood groups, and improved food security. The study concludes that climate adaptation and conflict prevention are interconnected, and that integrating interventions across sectors can foster more peaceful, cohesive, and resilient communities in fragile, climate-affected contexts.
