This Amnesty International report investigates widespread sexual violence against women and girls in Sudan during the conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since April 2023. Against the backdrop of the world’s largest displacement crisis, the report documents rape, gang rape, sexual slavery, and other abuses committed by RSF soldiers. Drawing on survivor testimonies and field interviews, it highlights the physical and psychological impacts, the absence of medical and legal support, and the entrenched impunity for perpetrators, concluding that these acts constitute war crimes and may amount to crimes against humanity.
